The short version. Bee Brawl is a free spelling game for kids run by Runvault (Houston, Texas). A parent or teacher signs up with a name and email to unlock it. That email is the only personal information we store on our servers. A child's game progress (which words they spelled, trophies, chosen fighter) stays in the browser on their own device and is never sent to us.
Bee Brawl is designed for children in grades K–8, so we deliberately collect nothing from children. The sign-up form asks for a parent or teacher's name and email, not the child's. We do not ask for a child's name, age, school, photo, or location, we do not show ads, and we do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies. The Online Versus lobby has no chat; players can only see each other's chosen display name and fighter, and we ask that display names not be a child's real full name. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, email us and we will delete it.
To unlock the game on that device and to send occasional study-list updates from Runvault (for example when the next year's list is released). Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your sign-up at any time. We do not sell or share sign-up data with anyone.
Sign-ups are stored on our server hosted by Fly.io in the United States, encrypted at rest, and kept until you ask us to delete them. Game progress lives in your browser's local storage; clearing site data removes it. No cookies are set beyond the local storage used to keep you unlocked and to remember your settings.
The study words are the 2026–2027 School Spelling Bee Study List published by the Scripps National Spelling Bee, used as a factual list for study practice. Bee Brawl is an independent family study tool and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Scripps. Characters, artwork, sounds and code are original to Runvault.
